Place pads under jacks (wood, steel or concrete). Level lengthwise and across.

Place blade loosely over band wheels and under roller guides. Adjust the blade so it is even, with the gullet of the blade even with the face of the band wheels. There needs to be 1/8" of space between the back of the blade and the face of the roller guide. Tension blade using a short handle ratchet with 3/8" socket. tightening until the green spring is fully compressed, then backing off 2 half turns.

After applying tension to blade, rotate the blade until it is even across both band wheels.

Raise log stops to desired height. Before cutting, make sure blade is not going to hit log stops or log holders.

Loosen handle and slide adjusting arm so that the roller guide is close to the log. Always lock arm before cutting.
